The words you will meet in Biddable, in the order you are likely to meet them.
- Space: your firm's own workspace: its bids, documents, rules, library and people, kept apart from every other firm's. A freelance bid writer has one space per client.
- Owner, writer, reviewer: the three roles. An owner does everything and manages the space; a writer does everything on the bids; a reviewer reads and changes nothing.
- Your rules: the firm's own bid or no-bid criteria, pricing rules, approval steps, voice, brand and templates, set at set-up and read on every run.
- Your set-up: the switches your space runs with, under Account: what you bid for, named people and CVs, meetings, the evaluator review, what each build writes, how the submission pack is prepared.
- Tender pack: the buyer's documents for one tender: the invitation, the specification, the forms, the terms.
- Review: the page where a tender pack goes in for triage.
- Triage: the bid or no-bid decision, made on your rules. Never counted against your plan.
- Verdict: the triage's answer: Bid, Conditional bid, Your call or No-bid, with "with a partner" where your rules call for one.
- Provisional: a flag on a verdict that stands on something the documents did not settle, with the reason.
- Disqualifier: a rule of yours that makes a tender a no-bid whatever its score.
- Opportunity: a reviewed tender before it becomes a bid: pursue it or pass.
- Bid: one tender your firm is pursuing, with its documents, chat, costing and audit. Also the unit your plan is measured in: a bid is used the first time it is built in a calendar month.
- Build: the drafting of the response in your templates: forms, the technical proposal, the pricing where your set-up asks for it, CVs where your tenders ask for them.
- The bid's agent: what you talk to on the Build page: it reads the pack, writes and changes the documents, and asks you when it needs a decision.
- Run: one piece of work on a bid: a triage, a build, an audit, the submission pack, an instruction. It runs on the server; you can leave and come back.
- Notes for the agent: your decisions and facts for a bid, applied and cited on every run.
- Audit: the red-team check of the finished documents against the tender and your rules: Ready, Ready with changes or Not ready, with must-fix and should-fix findings.
- Evaluator review: an optional extra in the audit that reads every scored answer the way the buyer's evaluator will, and projects the score.
- Approvals: the page where every message the agent drafts to someone outside waits for a person to send it.
- Submission pack: the finished bid arranged as the tender's instructions say, ready for you to lodge. Biddable never submits.
- Stage: where a bid stands: in draft, submitted, won, lost, no-bid, archived. You set it on the bid's Overview.
- Library: your firm's own store of approved answers, case studies, CVs, certificates and boilerplate, built from your bids and used in every build.
- Biddie: the assistant in your space. She knows how the bids stand and starts work for owners and writers; she never sends, submits or approves.
- Meetings: where it is on, the bid's page for recording a meeting or a call; the transcript is kept, the audio deleted.
- Replies: the bid's page for messages people send you about it, pasted into the chat and filed.
- Allowance: the bids a month your plan includes.
- Extra bid: a new bid built after a paid plan's bids for the month are used, paid for before it is built.
- Pilot: the free trial space, with 4 new bids a month as a hard cap, which must be activated within 48 hours of approval.
- Second factor: the second step of every sign-in: an authenticator app, a passkey, or an emailed code after a password.
- Passkey: a sign-in with Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello or a security key, bound to the web address it was made on. On its own it is both steps.
- Recovery codes: ten one-use codes shown once when you set up your second factor, for when a device is lost.
- Single sign-on: signing in through your organisation's Google Workspace or SAML identity provider, set by an owner.
- Support access: the owner's grant that lets Biddable staff see inside the space for 24 hours, 72 hours or 7 days, logged and revocable.
- Access log: the owner's record of every look at the space from outside the team and of the team's own security events, tamper-evident and read-only.
- Fingerprint: the latest hash of the access log and its line count, shown on the page and emailed weekly, so a change made outside the app would show.
- Paused: a read-only state for a space: sign in, read and download, but nothing runs.
